Big Projects in 2015 to Award by Al-Diwaniyah Iraq

Big projects are planned to be awarded by the central Al-Diwaniyah governorate in Iraq on an investment basis this current year (2015), as well as the much postponed airport that costs 1.3 billion dollar contract and the cement plant worth 210 million dollar.Hussein Al-Yassiri

According to Deputy Chairman of the authority, Hussein Al-Yassiri,

“The investment authority in Al-Diwaniyah has prepared large investment opportunities for this year, including the civilian airport at a cost of 1.3 billion dollars.”

He also said that the project likewise comprises of a 210 million dollar cement plant along with more other five investment agreement that cost approximately 250 million dollars.

He specified that they are likewise setting up the plans for the industrial zone…

“Our previous projects concentrated on services but the planned projects for this year are devoted to industry, trade and development…besides the airport, they could exceed $one billion,” he said.

The authorities as well confirmed early this year about the air airport project, with a range of more or less 7 square km, likewise includes a business administration area, the development of a free zone, plus more different facilities.

It was accounted that the venture will be done on investment basis to Kuwait’s Al Nasiriyah Al Kuwaitiah general trading and contracting firm, while the German company will contemplate on designing the said project.
