On Saturday, the Iraqi security forces and associated volunteer armies have retaken control of a residential area east of Ramadi, capital of Anbar territory, after substantial conflicts with Islamic State (IS) activists, a common security source said.

The troops upheld by Shia and Sunni militias brigades, known as Hashd Shaabi, figured out how to free the town of Huseibah al-Sharqiyah, east of Ramadi, after furious conflicts with the IS terrorists who recaptured the town late on Thursday.

The source likewise said that the troops and allied militias began their development before in the day toward the town from their bases in Habbaniyah airbase and the close-by town of Khaldiyah, by most accounts 80 km west of Iraq’s capital Baghdad.

The source also specified that the troops have freed the police station as well as surrounding buildings and houses after they drove out the extremist militants.

Huseibah al-Sharqiyah is a town with countless houses and a couple government structures situated on the main road between Khaldiyah and Ramadi towns. The operation to free the town is a piece of a noteworthy counter-hostile intended to free Ramadi, just about 110 km west of Baghdad, which fell in the hands of the IS after the deadly fights a week ago.

The IS terrorist group has held the major part of Anbar province and attempted to move toward Baghdad amid the previous couple of months, yet a few counter assaults by Shia militias and security forces have pushed them back.

He stated in a press conference that as they talked about a week ago, he thinks we’ll let the Iraqis characterize their vital needs. Obviously, it is imperative to retake Ramadi. They are certain to retake Ramadi.

“Also, I would bring up that throughout the weekend, in conference with the pioneers in Anbar, with Anbari pioneers and additionally the tribes there, Prime Minister Abadi has requested the Popular Mobilization Forces to help with that battle. This was a consistent vote, and he imagines that is additionally a reasonable evidence of shared reason,” he said.

He also included, “Well, as I said as well, this is – the city has been contested for some time. I’m not in a position to do a battlefield analysis from here. I think my colleagues in uniform would be better positioned to offer thoughts about the particular circumstances on the ground. As I mentioned, there was a series of large suicide vehicle bomb attacks.”

He said that throughout 12 months, the trend has been for ISIL to be driven in Iraq. In Tikrit as of late, different spots were the attack that happened again in the summer. When there were real apprehensions on Baghdad itself may even go under risk.

“We don’t have those fears now. We don’t see Baghdad as under threat, and we see in a number of places, including in Anbar and other parts of northern Iraq, ISIL being pushed back. It’s not a uniform positive message or a uniform positive picture; there are setbacks like in Ramadi. But we are confident that the Iraqi political leadership and their security forces working with us will be successful,” Mr Jeff Rathke concluded.

He added, “Iraq is in a “crucial phase,” looking ahead to the challenges. We must face to defeat Daesh, using the Arabic acronym for the terrorist group, and address the tasks of bringing reconciliation to our nation.”

Nonetheless, he accentuated to the Sunni populace that “to compromise is a two-way road … we all must contact our kindred Iraqis.”

Two weeks back, Abadi strolled through Tikrit subsequent to its liberation from the Islamic State, and shaped a plan for the entire nation what should be taken back. On the other hand, he forewarned that the following huge target, Mosul, won’t be taken on as long as Iraq is “completely prepared ” to battle.

“What’s valid for Mosul is valid for whatever remains of Iraq,” Abadi said.

After a multi-day trip in the U.S. , Abadi was discussing at the Center for International and Strategic Studies where he and his defense minister, Khaled al-Obeidi, met with President Obama and Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter.

The visit is due to the solicitation of more equipment and military assistance, however none have been prospective to this point.

Haider al-Abadi, prime minister of Iraq, said that Baghdad government would collaborate with Kurdish officials to set the northern province of Nineveh free from Islamic State militants.

During the PM’s first visit to the region of Kurdistan since he has been officially elected as the Prime Minister of Iraq last year, Haider al-Abadi said, “Baghdad and Erbil faced a common enemy and would improve ties to help confront the threat.”

During a joint conference with Massoud Barzani, the President of Kurdistan region, Mr. Abadi affirmed,

“Our visit to Erbil today is to coordinate and cooperate on a joint plan to liberate the people of Nineveh.”

However, he did not state anything concerning the time agenda of the plan in retaking Nineveh, wherein Mosul is the capital, so that they won’t lose the ‘part of surprise.’

The journey comes less than one week later than Islamic State militants were sent away out of the city of Tikrit by the Iraqi forces together with Shi’ite militia, supported by coalition air strikes.

When Mr. Abadi was asked over about the reported mistreatment by the Shi’ite militia, that are grouped together as Popular Mobilisation Committees or Hashid Shaabi, he said that it was unreasonable to level the charge at the whole force.

He stated, “There’s a small group that attempts to attach itself to the Hahsid Shaabi and attack civilians and their belongings and offend the Hahsid Shaabi. Our measures are to arrest these people and present them to court and we have indeed arrested.”

King Salman of Saudi Arabia has welcomed Iraqi PM Haidar al-Abadi to visit the kingdom. This certainly resembles the greatest indication of enhancing the connection between the nations after decades of pressure.

In an announcement on Abadi’s office’s website said, “His Majesty the King of Saudi Arabia in his turn expressed Saudi Arabia’s desire to open horizons of cooperation with Iraq … and gave an invitation to Prime Minister Abadi to visit Saudi Arabia.”

This will be the primary visit of any Iraqi PM to the Saudi Arabia’s kingdom, though the reasons of the invitation haven’t been told yet by Iraqi PM Office. This welcome will bring improved relationship of Riyadh and Baghdad.

Iraq and Saudi Arabia have discovered new open doors for each others’ collaboration, since both of them want to battle against Islamic State terrorists, which is viewed as threat to the whole world.

Saudi Arabia trusts Abadi to accomplish more to incorporate Iraqi Sunnis in the legislature than Maliki had done, and will demonstrate more to detach himself from Iran. Iran is one of greatest local enemies of Riyadh, although it is vital that Iran is Iraq’s one of the greatest companions.

A year ago, Riyadh expressed that it will revive Baghdad embassy and was closed in August 1990, when Iraq attacked Kuwait, thus, guaranteeing the mission’s security is confounding the process, as what diplomats in the Gulf states.

Wikileaks said that when U.S.-drove coalition attacked Iraq in 2003, Baghdad used to consider Saudi Arabia as leaders little more than dummies for Tehran.
